What is the difference between a Pure Sequence and an Impure Sequence?

A Pure Sequence is made entirely of consecutive cards from the same suit without using a Joker. An Impure Sequence also contains consecutive cards from the same suit but includes one or more Jokers as substitutes.

Is a Pure Sequence mandatory in Indian Rummy?

Yes. Every valid declaration must include at least one Pure Sequence. Without it, your declaration will be considered invalid regardless of your other combinations.

Can I use more than one Joker in an Impure Sequence?

Yes. Depending on the game rules and the cards available, multiple Jokers may be used in an Impure Sequence if the sequence remains valid.

How many sequences are required to win?

A valid winning hand requires at least two sequences, and at least one of them must be a Pure Sequence. The remaining cards can be arranged into additional sequences or sets.

Should I build sequences before sets?

Absolutely. Completing your Pure Sequence first gives you a solid foundation and allows you to use Jokers and remaining cards more effectively for the rest of your hand.
